About Our Calender

"X Marks The Spot" is a calendar dedicated to making young people aware of the many types of cancer. As a young person, I personally didn’t know a lot about cancer and found it difficult to find out information when I wanted too.

Each calendar month represents a different type of cancer. The calendar also highlights the European Cancer code. In Ireland, so many people have been touched by cancer.

The proceeds raised from the calendar will go towards:

• A Cancer Information Service - offering free confidential advice, support and information.
• Patient Support and Care - providing emotional and practical support to people who have been diagnosed with cancer.
• Nursing Services - caring for people with cancer at every stage in their illness including providing night nurses, oncology liason nurses and home - care teams.
• Prevention and Education - advising on cancer prevention, early detection. diagnosis, treatment and follow on care, empowering people facing cancer to cope with the disease.
• Cancer Research - funding vital Irish research that will have a significant impact on the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
